MIT Senseable City Lab's Treepedia team launched an open-source tool to help the world's cities map and visualize their urban tree cover. The tool utilizes Google StreetView imagery to automatically derive how much tree cover is experienced across a cities' streetscape and has received media coverage from the likes of The Guardian, Time Magazine, Wired, Forbes, Smithsonian.
